Google looking To Build Gaming Console..!!
Google Looking To Build Android-Based Video Game Console

Google could be planning to expand its Android ecosystem from smartphones and tablets to smartwatches, video game consoles and a spherical entertainment hub called “Q.”
According to The Wall Street Journal, Google is developing these devices to compete with Apple’s alleged upcoming products of the same nature. Though rumors of an Apple and a Google smartwatch have been hovering for some time, talk of a Google-built gaming console has been thin, if not entirely nonexistent.
Android is the most popular mobile OS in the world, commanding a 75 percent global market share in smartphones alone, according to an IDC report. It’s this kind of popularity which Google could capitalize on by branching Android out to new kinds of devices.
The two-horse smartphone race between Android and iOS has all but left game console makers in their wake. As more games become available on a mobile platform it becomes difficult to sell an expensive console and title. There are those, however, that are using the popularity of mobile gaming to revitalize the console market.
Ouya, a small and open source gaming box, also runs Android and is capable of playing the typical pocket games found on mobile devices everywhere or other games developed specifically for the platform. As a gaming powerhouse in their own rite, Apple has before been rumored to make an entry into the gaming market.
The Cheapest Game Console Is Out..!!
OUYA console

Crowdfunded last year with its promise as an indie alternative to mainstream consoles, OUYA has finally made it to retail with the gamer-friendly price tag of £99 and USP of allowing independent developers to sell games directly to players through its online store.
Unfortunately, that promise has translated into a disappointingly limited selection of games for this Android-powered device. Worse, most of what is available now are remakes of existing titles for phones and browsers. Generally these don't capitalise on the controller or screen size the console provides, making the OUYA version seem inferior or pointless. Graphics range from the passable to the outright bad and there aren't many truly interesting titles, save for the spectacularly entertaining BombSquad. There are also few other applications, with no Netflix or TV catch-up services, although there is a TwitchTV app for watching other people play games the OUYA can't run.
The design at least is admittedly quite appealing. It's sleek and remarkably small; the whole thing can be held comfortably in one hand. The controller is unimaginative but fine, and does feature a handy mouse touch-pad in the middle. Unfortunately it also feels a tad cheap yet cost £40 each, which becomes pretty expensive if you want to OUYA with friends.
The device only really comes to life for the more technically inclined; emulation and "side-loading' applications from Android phones may drastically increase the console's potential. But most of what the OUYA does is better covered by other gaming devices, making this feel more like an expensive toy than a cheap console.

A Car You Assemble Entirely By Hand..!!
Here's a Car You Assemble Entirely By Hand
.jpg)
Most of us will never build our own car from scratch. Hell, most of us can't even hack together Ikea furniture. Understanding that, Toyota has built a prototype for the Camatte57s, a car you assemble yourself very easily, apparently.Toyota designed the Camatte57s with pedals and seats that can be adjusted to their little legs. Meanwhile, an adult can still fit in the right rear seat supervising. The good news about a car that kids can drive, they can't drive it on the street because, well, it's a toy. Some assembly required.
Get this-the compact three seater is supposedly so simple to cobble together, you could do it with your kids. Oh, and your kids should be able to drive the thing too. Because it's actually sort of a toy. But it's the kind of toy that doesn't look like a toy. It's like the set of Hot Wheels you never had.Saturday, June 29, 2013
Catch If Someone's Drunk By Your SmartPhone ..!!
Smartphone Breathalyzer Alcohoot Unveiled for the First Time Ever
Israeli army veteran Ben Biron’s new invention could save more lives per year than racks of Kevlar vests and warehouses full of armor plating. Also, it tells you where to get cheese fries late-night.
At 24, he’s created Alcohoot, the world’s first smartphone breathalyzer. Biron hopes the product’s sleek design -- along with an app that charts blood-alcohol levels over the course of a night and connects users with nearby taxis and post-bar eateries -- will increase its appeal and decrease drunk driving.
Biron and his co-founder, Jonathan Ofir, first witnessed the problem in 2010 during their time in the Israel Defense Force. A sign posted at the army base’s entrance listed drunk driving as a leading cause of death among soldiers -- a tall order in a place where ducking rockets is just another day at the office.

World's First 3D Digital Brain ..!!
Scientists develop world’s first 3D digital brain
LONDON: Scientists have developed the world's first high-resolution 3D digital model of the human brain. The reconstruction of the human brain shows it's anatomy in microscopic detail, enabling researchers to see features smaller than a strand of hair.
The "Big Brain" will be made freely available to neuroscientists to help them in research, 'BBC News' reported. Researchers sliced 7,400 sections from the brain of a deceased 65-year-old woman, each half the thickness of a human hair.
They then stained each slice to bring out the anatomical detail and scan them into the computer in high definition. The final step was to reassemble the scanned slices inside the computer. In all, 80 billion neurons have been captured in this painstaking process which took 10 years to complete.

List Of 7 Reason To Quit Facebook..!!
7 Reasons To Dump Facebook .
1) Facebook sucks time from my life .
and unlike money, time is a zero sum game (thanks to Laura Vanderkam for reminding us). Without question, some of the time I spend on Facebook is edifying and life-giving.
2) Most of my Facebook friends aren’t (actually friends).
They’re not enemies. It’s not that I wish them ill, but for the majority of them, there’s a reason we don’t associate other than on Facebook.
3) There are other (better) options for photo sharing.
Seeing my friends’ and family’s pictures, and sharing my own, is what I like most about Facebook. A picture and a caption can generate a belly laugh or bring tears to my eyes.
4) Facebook brings out the worst in people.
How I didn’t quit Facebook during the last presidential campaign, I’ll never know. The willingness of so many to spew half-baked punditry that almost assuredly alienates them from half of their friends—and convinces precisely no one of their opinion—boggles the mind!
5) I learn more on Twitter.
Twitter is to Facebook as a biography is to a novel. I know there’s nothing wrong with reading fiction, but I confess that I (wrongly) feel a little guilty when I spend time reading something that didn’t (or won’t) actually happen.

App To Avoid Bumping Into Ex's & Other Unwanted People ..!!
Now See Where Your Friends Are And Avoid Bumping Into Your Ex's With Your Phone
.jpg)
Finally, there's a social media app for people who hate social media -- and other people: "Hell Is Other People," an "experiment in anti-social media," uses Foursquare check-ins to help people avoid their so-called friends.
The app pulls Foursquare data to calculate "safe zones" around a city, or "optimally distanced locations" where people can feel certain they'll avoid anyone they know. Rather than holing up at home -- a surefire way to avoid bumping into people -- individuals with social anxiety, frenemies or just plain annoying acquaintances can now navigate their city without fear of seeing friends.
"Hell Is Other People," inspired by a line from Jean-Paul Sartre's "No Exit," is the brainchild of Scott Garner, a Master's candidate at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. On his website, Garner describes the app as "partially a satire, partially a commentary on my disdain for 'social media,' and partially an exploration of my own difficulties with social anxiety." (He also notes it was a final for a course at ITP).

Now Smartphone To Find Misplaced Keys ..!
Use your smartphone to find misplaced keys
In the ranks of nagging annoyances, the search for misplaced keys (especially when you are late) is pretty high.
A product called Stick-N-Find has a solution: aBluetooth beacon with an adhesive backing that you can stick to your keys or anything else you might lose. You can use your phone to home in on the beacon.
The little gizmos are easy to use. The adhesive-backed disks, about the size of two quarters stacked together , can stick to anything you might hunt for between the couch cushions. A free Stick-N-Find app goes on an iPhone 5 or 4S, the new iPad, iPad mini, the new iPod touch, or any Android phone with Bluetooth Low Energy and system 4.1.
Then the phone acts as a homing device that lets you zero in on up to 20 Bluetooth beacons. You name each beacon using the app, so you can always track down the right item (provided it is not your phone that you have lost).

1.What are Google Balloons
The helium-filled balloons are made from a thin polyethylene film and are 15 meters (49 feet) in diameter when fully inflated.
2.Where are they present
They float in the stratosphere about 20 kilometers (12 miles) above the Earth.
3.How Google Balloons work
The balloons would sail on the stratosphere's winds in a continuous circuit around the globe. The balloons come equipped with flight computers, and Google would control the balloons' altitude from the ground, keeping them moving along a desired channel by using different winds at different heights.
4.Are Google Balloons revolutionary?
Google says past attempts to control balloons have involved tethering them or using expensive motors to keep them in place. They say simply sailing with the winds was one of the company's breakthrough ideas.

The New Apple May Cost $99 ..!!
Cheaper iPhone may cost $99: Report
WASHINGTON: Apple has plans to launch a low-cost iPhone that will sell for $99 and the phone will run on iOS 7.
Apple is reportedly looking at iPhones with bigger screens and will be launching the low-cost phone in a range of colors as soon as this year, the ABC News reports.
According to the report, Apple declined to comment on the rumors, but CEO Tim Cook addressed the question of larger screens last month at the All Things D conference.
Cook also said the iPhone doesn't have a larger screen right now for a few reasons. He said that a large screen today comes with a lot of tradeoffs, adding that people do look at the size, but they also look at things like if the photos show the proper color, reflectivity, battery life, brightness, the longevity of the display.
The phone will reportedly have a plastic casing and will come in five or six different colors. Besides launching a cheaper iPhone, Apple is also expected to unveil iPhone 5S later this year. iPhone 5S will be an upadte to iPhone 5 which was unveiled in September last year.

Google Creates Best Visualization Of People's Expectaions..!!
Google Creates Beautiful Visualization Of What People Are Searching For
Though it isn't quite the window into people's brains that it first appears to be, Google's new search tool is still mesmerizing.
Recently, the search engine created a fun visualization of the "hot" searches. With it, Google shows a number of trending searches at that moment, either worldwide or specific to the U.S. or 10 other countries.
Even though it may look like you're watching Google searches as they're happening because they're being typed out, you're definitely not. Notice how everything is spelled correctly and capitalized? That's generally not how people search. In fact, Google has a built-in spell checker for that reason. What you're seeing is a visualization of trending topics. It's not clear how often the hot searches are updated, but, despite what it looks like, the searches are not happening live.

Google Launches First and Only Baloon Internet ..!! The Biggest WiFi Ever
Google launches internet-beaming balloons
CHRISTCHURCH: Wrinkled and skinny at first, the translucent, jellyfish-shaped balloons thatGoogle released this week from a frozen field in the heart of New Zealand's South Island hardened into shiny pumpkins as they rose into the blue winter skies above Lake Tekapo, passing the first big test of a lofty goal to get the entire planet online.
It was the culmination of 18 months' work on what Google calls Project Loon, in recognition of how whacky the idea may sound. Developed in the secretive X lab that came up with a driverless car and web-surfing eyeglasses, the flimsy helium-filled inflatables beam the internet down to earth as they sail past on the wind.
Still in their experimental stage, the balloons were the first of thousands that Google's leaders eventually hope to launch 20 kilometers (12 miles) into the stratosphere in order to bridge the gaping digital divide between the world's 4.8 billion unwired people and their 2.2 billion plugged-in counterparts.
If successful, the technology might allow countries to leapfrog the expense of laying fiber cable, dramatically increasing Internet usage in places such as Africa and Southeast Asia.
"It's a huge moonshot. A really big goal to go after," said project leader Mike Cassidy. "The power of the Internet is probably one of the most transformative technologies of our time."
